1. Why You should use filtration for swimming pools?

The filtration for the swimming pool is the most important technical device. When You choose one, it should be rather more powerful, than is the calculation for your swimming pool.

2. Which type of filtration You should use - sand or cartouches?

It is always better to use sand filtration for permanent swimming pools. For dismountable pools, up to 5m2 can be used filtrations with cartouches.

3. How powerful should be filtration for your swimming pool?

The pool water should pass through the filtration at least twice a day and the cycle time should not exceed 4-5 hours. When selecting the filtration, it is, therefore, necessary to take into account the amount of water in the pool and the performance of the filter. It is preferable to slightly oversize the filter station.

The following applies: pool volume / 4 hours = ideal filtration performance

4. How often should be filtration system operating during a day?

If the dimension calculation is done correctly, filtration should not run longer than 8 hours each day.

5. Why stainless steel "rust" in a saltwater treatment pool?

It is generally not recommended to use stainless steel for saltwater electrolysis pools because salt electrolysis is very aggressive. It is aggressive not only for stainless steel and all pool technology but also for indoor metal outside the pool. However, if stainless steel has to be used eg. a ladder, we recommend stainless steel marked AISI - 316. However, even stainless steel AISI - 316 "cuts" under some conditions. First, there is spot corrosion and then also surface corrosion. This corrosion is usually the cause of stray currents, ungrounded or grounded ladders, salt deposition on stainless steel, chlorinated water, too low pH, humid environment in combination with chlorine, etc. After removing these problems, it is necessary to regularly treat stainless steel with designated

6. Is it necessary to use filtration and chemicals at the same time?

In order to keep your water beautiful and clean, it is necessary to maintain the pool water chemically. The basic values to be monitored are pH and Cl. The pH value determines the acidity or alkalinity of the water. The ideal pH of the pool water is 7 - 7.2

7. Which chemicals are the most practical?

The most powerful and common swimming pool disinfection is chlorine in solid form (tablets) or in liquid form (sodium hypochlorite).

8. How to dose the chemicals?

You can dose tablet form with floating dispensers (floating on water level), or use semi-automatic solutions (feeder with manual regulation on the pipe between the filter and jets). The liquid form is usually dosed by automatic dosing stations or automatic pumps (Which measuring levels of chlorine, pH and others)

Be aware! Please, don't use skimmer as a dosing solution, the tablet will dissolve even when filtration is in stand-by mode, this situation leads to local over-chlorine, which eat away, skimmer basket and other parts filtration and pump included.

9. Water is dirty, with algae. How to clean it?

The solution is always the same. First of all, you need to start filtration. After that, You need to check pH and set the value between 6,8-7,2. Next step is to over-chlorine pool water with chlorine granulate. Directly after that should follow floccer procedure. You will need to rewash filtration every day. This process has to be repeated until water is clear

10. How often You should change the sand in the filter?

You should change sand in the filter when pressure on manometer didn't drop after sand rewash. It proves, that sand in the filter become worn-out and it lost its filtration functionality. It usually happens after 3-5 Years (depending on when it is in indoor or outdoor condition).
